No Satu I cannot see any oddities... I do see an atmospheric painting. Loke the gentle colour you have used. With great subtlety. .

Much better without the hats Satu. Very good!

I hadn't noticed anything wrong with version 1 Satu but now you've pointed it out must agree that this version is an improvement. It' lovely!

Yes, better, but when I saw it, I didn't really think it mattered because the feel of the painting was that strange other world feel and it was still good. However, the artist must always be happy with the painting, hence I did two versions of Eros!

Yes, I like this one best Satu. I also liked the first though!

Think I prefer this one - great atmosphere Satu. Dare I venture a comment? hope you don't mind but I just wonder if the two figures on the left are a bit short - as they are closer I would expect their heads to come up to the level of the two figures just behind them if that makes sense

Thank you all Sylvia, Louise, Christine, Gudrun, Carole and Michael for taking time to have an other look! Michael, of course I don't mind a comment, it's very welcome because that's how we learn and you other artists spot things that I don't necessarely see. I'll have a look tomorrow at those two figures. Thanks Michael!

This is really lovely Satu, I prefer this one, great athmosphere!

Nothing wrong with this at all - every head looks a perfect size! What a lovely scene made all the more beautiful by the light and very limited palette. It has the look of a crisp winter's day with people enjoying their Christmas shopping. I might have totally got the wrong end of the stick, but that it how it comes over to me. Super, Satu.

I like this one too Satu, to be honest I didn't notice anything wrong with the last. I did think that the chap on the right with his hat reminded me of thoses 1950's fertive private invetigators but nothing else.

Great impressionist painting.

Thank you very much Petra, Thea and Fiona! Thea, it's not a wintery scene but propably early spring in Paris in the 50's. The photo of the painting didn't come out very well so the light looks more like snow. I'm still thinking of changing the two figures on the left hand side. They are too small.

Loved this! I have a thing for street scenes and I feel you captured this beautifully. Interesting technique too - works so well the way it is undefined and colours soft and gentle. Thought the 2nd version was better, partly as it looks lighter (that may be the photograph) and you were right about the hats.

Pulling this sort of thing off is SO difficult - it looks easy but it isn't. I agree with Michael (and you) about the two figures on the left front; I'm also confused (mind you, I'm easily confused....) by the second figure in from the right - I can't tell where she ends, and whatever is behind her begins: this might be less noticeable if the figures on the left were more accurately proportioned but I suspect she's still a bit on the statuesque side. Like the character in the dark coat walking into the painting, though.

Thank you Helen and Robert for your comments! Much appreciated! Robert, you are right, as usual, about the second figure. I'll do something about it soon. Thanks!

Really beautiful, Satu - limited palette used to maximum effect!

Very lovely and unusual. Brave too for the limited palette - which pays off handsomely.

Satu..........iv no idea what you are on about regarding heads being too big, they are after all meant to be bigger etc however,........ iv been looking and looking for the slightest nit picking flaw in your work, and there are none that i can see. it is a lovely impressionism piece and i think you are very artistically talented :-)

Thank you Rebecca very much for your kind words!

This is an improved version of the first one, I hope. I realized that those two figures with hats on had their heads painted too big so I took the hats off and made the heads smaller. If you notice something odd still, please tell me!
