I enjoyed reading your article, Satu, about how you go about painting and are with you on square canvasses even though everyone says you shouldn't. I have been away from pol for a while so have enjoyed looking through your portfolios, seeing some old friends and some new snails.

The quick paintings so often work well don't they as this one has. Such good colour (the pink makes it) and confident brush work Satu.

Wonderful abstract (ish) painting Satu.

Bold and dramatic - and all done in ten minutes!

Lively and spontaneous it is , love the colours and abstract quality. Your e-newsletter article was so informative and inspirational Satu, and really interesting to read.

So expressive Satu, right up my street!

Thank you so much Sian, Louise, Carole, Dennis, Debs, Christine, Alan and Gudrun for your very kind comments! I enjoyed writing the article for the e-newsletter and it's lovely to read other people's stories and to learn about their working methods.

You are always so inventive Satu, you produce work with interest and it is so eye catching.

Gorgeous colours and colour juxtaposition in this to bring it all to life. What was that about square canvases - I obviously need to go back and read your newsletter piece again; did someone say you shouldn't use square ones? Daft, if they did! I've often used them - they work well.

I love this Satu -powerful and colourful - I find myself being attracted more and more to abstract paintings

Thank you very much Fiona and Robert for your comments! Robert, nobody has said anything against square canvases so we are alright there. I love that format too!

Thank you very much Lynne!

Good use of ten minutes Satu! The pink sky contrasts well with the deep blues of the cliffs and the strong emerald of the sea.

Really like the brisk marks on this one

Beautiful abstract landscape.

Thank you so much Stephen, David and Karin!

I saw your work at Thoresby, Satu, loved it.

Thank you very much Annette and Elaine! Elaine, I haven't exhibited at Thoresby so you must have mixed me with somebody else. (?)

A coastal scene for me with the sea licking at the base of the rocks.......... a lovely palette.

Ten minutes exercise to produce something lively and spontaneous out of a black and white photo.
