Marvelous painting of this Badger, captured so well, lovely keen gaze from the eye and hairs and linear. I think the name "Cadger" would suit the intention of building dams! Cadger the badger came to mind and Bodge! He is delightful Sarah, wonderful work!

The inspiration for this painting came from the wonderful work of the talented photograher, Steve Owen, whose images I just love! This is not based on one particular image but I've taken the essence of what I love in so many of Steve's badger shots and come up with this composition, which I feel conveys the shy and tentative nature of the badger, as opposed to the negative 'pest' we so often hear about. Oil on board, 16 x 16"
