I’ve just finished this commission of the very characterful Stan. He means the absolute world to his owner who really wanted to capture him on quite a large scale and reclining in his favourite leather chair. He’s a really clever pooch and can even count by tapping his paw on a little bell when given a number. I hadn’t anticipated how challenging Border Terrier fur was going to be and all the different colours and textures involved but I’m thrilled with how it turned out. Oil on board, 20 x 26”
