Oil on stretched canvas painted with palette knife. The view is across the MenI Strait towards The National Trust’s Penrhyn Castle. The ever changing and dramatic and ever changing light in this area produces beautiful subject matter. I felt the letterbox format worked well for this painting.

I have sketched and painted over many years. I live on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey which is blessed with extensive coastlines and the beautiful mountains of nearby Snowdonia providing plenty of inspirational subjects .
