Excellent stuff Ruth, love those patchwork blocks of colour. best Mick

Lovely palette, Ruth, and an interesting view looking down on the house. A cheerful painting. Thanks also for your comment on the old farmer - you are right, his hat is chopped off by my rubbish photography, though it's intact on the painting itself. I need to learn a bit more about getting a better image on my camera!

I have also just had an attempt with my acrylics, the first for a long time. I produced nothing as good as this. . There's something about just mown fields that strong colour contrasting with the trees and cottage. Now tell me Ruth, are those far hills looking toward me? I think the one on the left is Moel Arthur and if you took a line in the dip as the crow flies you could pop in for a cup of tea!

Yes this works well Ruth = I do like the use of shapes and good strong composition.

Great strong colours, love the patchwork of the fields, a lovely painting

Thank you all for your comments. Sylvia...around 3.30 OK? Actually Moel Arthur is a mis-shaped low lying cloud, which I had intended to cover over, but obviously I have a lot yet to learn about acrylic behaviour as I thought I had got rid of it once. I suppose I could turn it into Arthur, but methinks the crows around here would be mighty confused if I did!

I like the unusual angle Ruth, it's a great composition and the colours are wonderful.

I like this Ruth, great luminous colours, and a lovely scene.

Thank you Fiona and Carole. x

This is great, very warm and full of atmosphere and light.

What a beautiful landscape. The white cottage stands out so well against the lovely dark green and the super yellow field :)

A great sense of form in this painting, and I do like that bright yellow field :)

I've never used acrylics Ruth and admire you for doing so! Love the splash of yellow and the overall composition.

Love the simplicity and colours here, Ruth.. really super painting!

Thank you so much for your comments Heather.

AS I recall, Val-Irene, I was looking down on the scene before me. It was based on a view in the Ceiriog Valley, Clwyd, in pasture where a friend grazed her horses. I found your comment interesting and thoughtful. Thank you for looking.
