Now that’s a proper winter landscape Roger…..the sky, the ploughed earth and bare trees are fab!

Excellent and really well painted, certainly has the wet damp soggy look .

Has a great sense of bad weather and muddiness, love the brushwork

Love the browns and greys in this.

Thank you all for your comments. My plein-air pastel reference is on grey paper which comes through the blues and whitish clouds. I'd painted an oil last year with blue sky and had started this with a blue sky too. I realised yesterday that there was too much colour in this painting. I think it works much better with a grey sky.
