I do think that working on a small scale is hugely more difficult than working large - so I tend not to do it any more! But this is a charming little painting, which I'm sure will be appreciated. I like that disappearing telegraph line: the eye fills in the space, there's no need to labour it.

Thank you all. Robert, it's good to read that you like the disappearing telegraph wire. I need the post for the composition. Then a post with no wire at all looks a bit daft but I thought that putting the whole wire in means a bit too much of the man-made, so this is my compromise.
