Lovely and vibrant, Rob. The harbour is brilliant, and the yachts, trawler, and reflections are perfect.

Thank you Ann and Margaret! I always painted smaller than this, but I'm really enjoying this larger format. There's a lot of space to cover but lots of option for detail, which I'm always a sucker for! This is a view looking west over the New Harbour. Portsoy is one of the oldest harbours on the Moray Firth and this 'new' harbour is more than 200 years old - but the name stuck. I was commissioned to paint this view, which I've painted before in different light. The detail on the cumulus cloud was a new experiment for me! The painting is 72 x 52 cm.
