A lovely painting of a fine old castle Rob. Love the figures and dog

Brill........shame the Red Arrows Arn't fly over it......

Thank you David! The figures and the dog are the commissioner's family - painted from verbal descriptions only but apparently I got it pretty close - by lucky hap!

Thanks Peter - maybe another time! I can always tell your comments before I read the name :-) !! Just starting work on another aircraft type for a commission, I think you'll recognise it when I post it...

I love Lincoln, you've certainly got it right!

Beautiful painting Rob, wonderful place Lincoln.

A beautifully painted scene Rob. You seem to have conquered such a hard medium. Unfortunately if I listened to any watercolour to see where it wanted to go, I am afraid it would direct me to the bin!

Super work Rob, the strong foreground shadow makes the sunshine so bright.

Lincoln is one of the best preserved Norman castles in England. It's looking good considering it is approaching it's 1000th anniversary later this century! This is a view of the East Gate. I hadn't planned it, but I think the flags of St George flying everywhere give the castle a medieval feel here.
