'Evening In Krems an der Donau'

Nice evening scene, Rob. lovely light and atmosphere. I find very difficult evening and night scenes.

Thank you Cesare. I start with the light, saving the whites, and head darker, although I painted the sky first to establish the darkest tone. In this scene I also wanted to contrast the warm colours near the street with the cooler colours of the night on the upper buildings.

Captured the time and atmosphere very well Rob, just those lightfalls and shadows create a very steep slope to the centre, am sure it's not like that.

Wonderful night scene. The dark cools and warm lights work a treat.

The buildings provide wonderful perspective lines creating a beautiful sense of depth. The clocktower at the end of the street keeps the viewer nicely within the scene. Well done, Rob.
