River Thames, ancient painting from even more ancient memory.

Rough as guts,isn't it? But I rather like it - it's a memory of the only childhood holiday I actually enjoyed, and posted here as an experiment to determine what I was doing wrong when photographing paintings - getting the camera too damn' far away is what. This is actually 7" by 5" on board, so quite extremely enlarged here: but I still like it. The distance of years has lent enchantment....

Rough is good Robert! I really do like paintings like this, where you can see the heavy brush strokes and blobs of paint...it's wonderful!
