Wow! Very dramatic. Looks like a painting I would like to touch to feel the texture of the paint. Like those touches of blue on the ground.

Recognised your style straight away, Robert. Very atmospheric and, as Lesley says, dramatic painting. Love the texture created by the knife work. Strangely, I was also using palette knife last night on an IOW painting but on a much smaller scale.

This has a beautiful, vibrant feel, Robert. I love the swirly bits, adds much to the atmosphere. I don't paint in oils, so I can't help with your enquiry. I'd love to have a go, but am rather put off because of needing storage space for the long drying process.

Very effective Robert, well done and it qualifies to be framed and a reserved wall space.

Really atmospheric, Robert! You've conveyed the approaching storm very effectively. One can almost smell the rain.

Very dramatic painting. Lovely to see some green land, only seen white for weeks!!

Gosh, that hits you between the eyes. Very powerful sky, love the freedom of it, makes me want to let rip with a knife. Thank you for your help on my last posting, your comments are always welcome and constructive.

Glad no one was injured Robert.... This is a WOW.

I have been away for few days and just saw this piece. With oil painting, I have more fun with knife than brush..This is a fantastic piece!!

Yes = I agree, with the above. Great loosness and freedom which comes with going 'mad...' even if it is with a knife.

It's like the sky is about to burst, it inspires me to make acrylics, i have to try
