He still has the commanding stare! Still scary after all these years.

Beautiful portrait, Robert. I don't know the man, but the drawing is very expressive.

Oooh he looks kind of creepy! Good portrait Robert.

Cesare - Bela Lugosi played Dracula, in Todd Browning's film of that name in 1931. Edward D Wood was the director of such gems of the silver screen as Plan 9 From Outer Space, and Glenn or Glenda? - two of the very worst films ever made: the best that can be said of Wood is that he helped the ageing and ill Bela Lugosi to carry on working: and enabled him to die with a script in his hand - Lugosi needed to work.

Smashing drawing Robert

Characterful drawing he has the expression of an undertaker Robert. Very good tonal drawing I'd say.

An imposing character Robert and that sinister stare has impact. Excellent drawing!

Good drawing, Robert, and he is looking scary enough to me, whoever it may be!

I can never resist a challenge, but don't have time to create a new work at the moment: so I've dug out a drawing I did around 35 years ago: after all this time, I've forgotten the name of the film! But it was a bad one: one of those featuring Bela Lugosi at the very end of his career: and he was good, even if the film (directed by the notorious Edward Wood) wasn't.
