'Eilean Donan Castle' by Rob Wigham
Watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. We visited the castle, which sits in a sea loch close to the Isle of Skye on the west coast of Scotland on a day just like this: sunlit, quiet and with visibility forever. I wanted to show the castle shining in the sun, of course, but also it's wonderful setting. I loved doing the sketching in the sunshine, and our dog loved getting photographed by a coachload of tourists from the US who mostly found her more appealing than the castle. Can't say I blamed them!
