Four lovely posts Rhia. I like them all, and this one in particular… l suppose that’s because l’m not seeing so many sparrows lately. He’s a beaut.

Beautifully observed bird pics ang this little Spadger is gorgeous…..

I love sparrows - we have several sparrow nests behind slatted panelling along the front of our stables, and the birds are always sociable and chattering together! You've done a lovely job of painting this chap.

Thank you all for your friendly comments! You made my day (because lately I am "painterly" down the sink :( but your mentions help me a lot :) thanks!).

Just beautiful. He is not to shure. His feet are prepared to go off if needed.

How lovely and so well painted

So beautiful and very clavero.

This is a beauty. Love the background reflected on the feathers. This bird has character and strength. I'm always afraid of painting birds and animals with sentimentality. You aced this sparrow with forceful charm.

I don't know how I've missed seeing your paintings! This is wonderful and I love the title.
