Beautiful addition to your lovely gallery Val

What a beautiful addition to a growing set of original flower paintings Val. Lovely depth to the center of the main flower.

Really lovely, Val - the colours are so gentle and the stained glass effect sets off the flowers and leaves beautifully.

Stunning painting Val

Another beauty Val, this would make a lovely wall paper for a feature wall i think !!

Beautiful painting again Val!!

Gorgeous colour Val, and a lovely composition.

I love this stained glass effect Val. I'm curious though, well naturally nosey, did you add the black line before or after painting the pink anemones? It's very effective. . Also, the composition is good, I always think that flowers look good in threes.

Love the colours Val. the background - and everything!

Wsll composed, well painted, and a great addition to your gallery Val

A beautiful painting Val. One of my favourite flowers too.

What a lovely respnse to this painting, thank you very much Petra, Fiona, Jane, Gennis, Denise, Satu, Lesley, Louise, Eileen, Michael and Carole. Louise, in answer to your question, strangely enough in my previous paintings I always outlined the flowers last, usually in a thick dark watercolour, but in this one I did it first in waterproof pen and then went over it again when I'd finished in Indian ink with a fine brush. Didn't risk a dip pen as knowing my luck I'd have ended up with ink blots all over it. LOL

Thanks Val. A steady hand needed then!

Again a beautiful "stained glass", Val. I love your special style on those last flowers paintings. Stunning, beautiful flowers, perfect drawing and very bright colours, I like this very much!

This is stunning, Val! I love your "stained glass" paintings, and this has so much life and light, and a wonderful, wonderful palette.

Very eye catching :)

I have a lovely pot of anenomes in flower at the moment which inspired this painting. I attempted to give the background some "movement" as the other name for anenomes, my late mums favourite flowers, is wind flower. Thanks for looking.
