A very striking picture.

Really beautiful! Success is all relative, o boy...!

This is a little stunner ! Great work Val.

Very nice painting.

Thank you everyone but acrylics and I just don't get on, give me oils anyday. Doesn't make me paint any better, just enjoy the experience a lot more !!

Watcha Val, excellent close-up detail pic, well executed, and the nature of this pic doesn't need to be loose. Well, I found you, easy, you use your name, but, how did you find me, I call mine Micks Pics.

lovely and bright......the leaves are beautiful

I like this very much. What a lovely mixture the acrylic and oil pastels, you have produced such a wonderful painting with them - please carry on.

HI Val. I'm catching up on your gallery, and saying thanks at the same time for your much appreciated comment on my beech tree painting. I was so unsure about it and feel reassured now. I love this painting of yours, of pads and lilies, and am very drawn to work which has a strong design bias. This is a little glowing gem. I've loads of acrylics and oil pastels and i never use them...I keep telling myself I will, and put it off every time. I think I prefer gouache, it's softer. But like you, feel bad about wasting materials too.

This is a stunning image. Strong colour and design and beautifully done. Thank-you for your kind comment on my painting.

Pearly sails upon emerald folds, nestled within an azure harbour. Beautiful, elegant undulations :-)

You have such a nice way with words, thank you for commenting Rod.

Beautiful picture, colours\are fantastic.

love this one Val beautifully done

Thanks again Sandy.

Acrylic and oil pastel. A failed contender for the auction. Thought I'd try and use my acrylics again but still can't handle them and didn't like what I'd produced. Decided to try try oil pastels on top and although I still didn't like the painting very much I liked the effect of the oil pastels, so I'll definately be using them together again. A good way to use up my redundant acrylics, I hate waste !!
