Looking at it again on screen I think his nose should have been bigger.

Val his nose looks perfect, crust or no crust...I’ve had my coffee! There is some lovely blending and picked out accents of fine hairs. His eyes though are the magnet, you just want to give him a cuddle.

Poor baby, he looks so sad!! brilliant Val.

Plllllease take me for a walk 😄 Very appealing Val, his eyes are gorgeous.

Yes Val, slightly bigger nose and I'm sure that will leave room for those all important 'crusty bits'... Good sketch all the same.

Definitely got the hump ! ! a nice painting thought Val

Very touchable Val. Needs a huge. You can blend with a cotton bud Val.

He certainly looks sad Val but still has that tinkle in his eyes which are super!

It's a real dogs life isn't it?

Ha ha, glad you missed the crusty bit out Val, think that might have been a bit too much, great painting though.

love him actually like his nose!Val

He's gorgeous Val. Super work!

He looks so sad, Val. Yes, I would like to give him a cudle. Very well done.

I love this, Val!!!

Thank you all for your brilliant comments, what a lovely lot you all are. Alan I'll try working on that nose again tomorrow, I've been battling with another dog today who's ended up a bit cross eyed :(

Should have said that this was from a copyright image on Pixabay so many thanks to the photographer.

He is such a cutie well done Val

Ahh - so sad! I love the blends of colour Val.

Soft Pastels. I'm trying out an Ampersand Pastel Bord and quite like it. It appears to take lots of layers but is much kinder on the fingers when blending as I still have some finger prints left :) The board I tried was only 25cm by 20cm so I was restricted in the amount of detail I could get in his nose with soft pastels. I couldn't achieve the crusty look. ( sorry if you are just having your morning coffee ) I am going to try this support in a much bigger size as I think I could have a lot of fun with it. Thanks for taking a peek.
