Carnivorous Quadruped

Carnivorous Quadruped

I'd be very happy with his fur and everything else if I'd done this one Val and as usual your sassy title gives him another dimension - love it!

He certainly looks hungry to me! "Chinese for dinner tonight, perhaps?" Great job Val, I'm certainly disconcerted by that gaze!

Gorgeous work Val, what a great face on this Lion, super colours

Love that look Val! great colours in his fur. Beautiful lion or carnivorous quadruped ;o)

Gggrrrrrrr!!! He looks mean Val. Love trhe shades you have used, especially the greys.

I love the varied colours you have got into the mane and coat - also wonderful intense stare on the lion's face. A beautiful piece of work, Val.

Beautifully executed Val

I just love it Val! He doesn't look mean or hungry to me, only lovely, soft and handsome. The colouring is superb!

Leave the fur as it is, it's great!

Many thanks everyone for your kind comments, very much appreciated. The bit that is really niggling me is the shadow side of the body. I'm going to have to indicate some more of his mane in that area before I'll be happier with it. Thanks again.

Hang on Studio Wall

(Thought is sounded better than just plain Lion lol ) Soft pastel on colourfix from a photo on PMP kindly provided by Glennis. This has been sitting on my easel for a few weeks but I finally managed to finish it today, or at least I THINK it's finished, still not completely happy with his fur. Thanks for looking
