Hi Val, you have done a lovely job of creating distance with the reeds in the foreground, very well executed.

Agreed, the water in the foreground is so realistic Val and great effect with all those reeds leading us on to the ruined building in ther background

Love the foreground in this Val - even if I did the name wrong[ on A/F I guessed wheat/barley??? - no. - REEDS - yes!] doh! Still has the same wonderful tactile quality to it, no matter what I called it.

Soft pastel on colourfix. These are the remains of a distillery of the banks of the Firth of Forth in Central Scotland. Established in the 1700's it eventually closed in 1825, a victim of the cheap gin trade in London, but was a forerunner of the whisky trade as we know it today. From a photo taken by my husband on a lovely sunny day just before winter set in again! Thanks for looking C&C welcome.
