I can see what you mean, there is something beautiful and fleeting about shadows especially the lovely warm colour you have used.

Love this, Podi. Having lived in very hot places I can relate to this - shadows are ephemeral and magical against the strong sunlight, and you've captured them beautifully here.

This Oil on Stretched Canvas 48" x 36" is one of a series featuring the deep intense shadows in the tropics, which are constantly changing and a challenge. I was going through a particularly bad period of my life and this series of paintings of shadows and flora was my way of letting go. I'm still fascinated by shadows and often find this subject matter not only indicates my emotion but also lifts the spirits by featuring the intense light in the sun. I'm still working on the series.
