Very good, perfect proportions and an interesting pose.

Thank you Peter, the colours are actually brighter, no idea why its changed to so dull.

This is an extremely well drawn portrait, like it a lot !

This excellent John. The addition of a geometric shape in the background works just as you say, and I think adds style to a drawing…as here.

This is outstanding and beautifully done.

Very nice painting and natural too,, the pallette you blended for skin tones looks so realistic too.

I love how natural this looks in every way. Feel as if she could step out of the frame any minute John.

Superb portrait, the skin tones are excellent, the coloured paper works really well.

Superb work John, terrific pose and beautifully drawn.

It works really well and the colour references are really interesting

Super drawing and beautiful skin tones.

Really great portrait, beautifully thought out John.

Super drawing John.

This is beautiful John. Love the pose.

Thank you all folks, your comment they are very much appreciated. I have not done any pencil work apart from sketching for years. Its Russell’s master pieces that encourage me to take up the pencils.

This is superb and beautiful John. The shape does exactly as you intended draws your eyes to the contours of the face. The colour references are very interesting. Perfect!

Very good and excellent composition.

From my A4 Cappuccino sketchbook. The paper (coffee coloured) is smooth, works well with inks, fountain pens and coloured pencils. This is a heavy crop from a much larger image, I like the follow of lines and shapes. The circle in the background is to bring out the contour of the face.
