Plein air pastel sketch. 10x8 inches. I think painting on location is the hight of painting, so immediate. you have to get going and get it down. Also I can remember so much detail of the time spent doing the work. And I can say some of my most contented moments have been when out painting. Out there with and amongst the shapes and colours. The fence was not seen but I put it in to make the pastel work better.
