Gathering Storm

I do like this technique of yours John. It works brilliantly .

I agree with Sylvia, great technique.

Smashing work. Those strokes certainly give the work movement.

Has drama and I like the marks very much John. Colours great too.

Super, John. Love the heavy application of paint.

I used to work thickly, then went thin, now settled somewhere in between! I do like this way of applying paint John, expressive, and I seem to recall a certain van Gogh doing a fair job at it also.

I'm with Alan on this, I immediately thought of Van Gogh, lovely work 😀

It's those swirls in the foreground. Lovely texture John and great tones in the sky.

Thank you Sylvia, Lewis, CA Jones,Carole, Seth, Alan, Linda and Rachel. I am not trying to do Van Gogh, I just enjoy working in that way. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

I instantly thought of Van Gogh when I saw it, like Alan and Linda did. I like it a lot, John.

Great textures and colours John.

Very lively and dramatic John. Great work.

We're also enjoying your mark making with you, John. This is so expressive. Love the hefty paint work!!!

Lots of paint on this one John, nice work.

Looks like you had a lot of fun with this one John.

Hang on Studio Wall

Oil on canvas board. 10X8 inches. Palette knife and scratch in. Imaginative piece, enjoying the mark making with oil paint.
