Have plans to do some more studies as the light at evening and early morning give opportunities for some dramatic effects with the castle as a passing feature. Also another piece of useless history for you all did you know that in 1818 Mary Wolstenholme was staying in a cottage of a relative in the East Port area of Dundee when looking out of a window during a thunderstorm and saw the castle struck by a bolt of lightning. Two or three years passed by and when she was holidaying in Switzerland with her husband and her friends they told spookie stories to each other. Mary seemed to have made an impression when she told a story about a lifeless body being resuscitated by the use of electricity, recalling how she remembered the power of the lightning strike. She turned it into a best selling book called Frankenstein. Where I used to live there were a set of steps and next to them a plaque which told this story as the cottage stood previously on this site and the steps were known as The Frankenstein Steps. Not a lotta people know that
