Acrylic on canvas board. Ben was commissioned by a lady who dealt with the Springer Spaniel rescue in our area and recommended the notorious Scooby for our love and attention. This was about my third attempt at animal portraiture so felt a bit nervous with the responsibility as I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out or how it would be received. Unfortunately Ben had a tumour in the brain and sadly passed away before I was able to complete the painting. I was extremely happy and relieved that it was received well and as we all know All Dogs Go To Heaven...
