Beautiful painting. I like a lot of your paintings, I think because you have not used too many colours. This gives it a very atmospheric feel.

You are completely right Louisa.Using a limited palette helps immensely to create atmosphere in paintings.Personally I absolutely love colour which creates a dilema for me because my preference in painting is landscape and it is not easy to introduce colour into most landscapes.Monochrome is much easier.That is why I from time to time paint flowers which allow me to indulge in the use of rich colours.

Great scene, the dark colours make it feel very atmospheric, which makes the lighter colours really shine .

I love your Dungarvan series Peter, you show the town in a good light. Nice cool colours.
