I think your w/c technique is very good Peter. The disturbed water is very well painted and you have a used good tonal range, on top of a fine drawing.

Took this photo a number of years ago, whilst with my sons on the river Hamble, off of the Southampton waters. Normally most river scenes I paint from the river Ouse, were I live, but as the Hamble is tidal and there was the wash from the boats, it gave me a different challenge. Comments please on the techniques used. Bockingford - Not - 140lb - 30 x 44 cm
