I've had the same sort of thing happen with old paper Peter, I think it loses it's sizeing (not sure if that's the correct spelling) or something of that nature. I can never see anything wrong with your paintings Peter they are so accomplished. Perhaps your uncertainty about them was due to getting back into painting after a long break.

Two lovely additions to your gallery Peter, your struggles with the paper certainly don't show.

You have certainly overcome the obstacles with the paper. The result is brilliant.

This is really complicated piece, isn't it? but you've done it very well.

Painted this and the Willow bridge late last year, not overly pleased with them, didn't seam to get any feeling out of them or is it just me, at that time I was just trying to get back into my painting. Also I had a lot of trouble with the paper I was using, found it very difficult to work with. Very difficult to do a wash, as soon as the the pigment touched the paper it soaked straight in. Must admit the paper was about 6 - 7 years old. Has any body else had this problem. I have stopped using it now. Langton - not - 140 lb - 45 x 30 cm
