I like this very much Paul for it's composition and colour.

Many thanks Louise; it from a photo I took, one of a group, of the Gas Street Basin area of Birmingham - it a really interesting area where Victorian mastery of brickwork rubs up against modern architecture, some great subject matter!

Paul, like me the urban scene can be so evocative and worth painting, especially witha knife. I love using it and don't do enough.

I took a course led by June Duddleston last year at the RBSA. The primary learning outcomes were centred on the use of pallet knifes in working the medium. I really enjoyed it and promised myself another attempt to follow shortly after the course. Well, it's taken me 6 months to get round to it and once I'd gotten started I realised that perhaps I'd been a little ambitious. But it's been a good experience.
