I'm amazed you got this intensity of colour in watercolour. The blues are gorgeous.

Thank you Marjorie, there are passages in this painting that, although they are labelled watercolour, didn't use an awful lot of water. the most intense colour was achieved with just a damp brush and almost pure pigment, straight from the tube!

So vibrant and zingy. You can get this intensity with watercolour, but you have to master the paint to water ratio to do it. As you say, very little water and lots of pigment. Makes a wonderful, eye catching painting - love it.

Agreed, this a great watercolour painting Paul

It jumps from the screen. I first thought it was completely abstract, till I took a closer look. Like it very much.

I'm not keen on painting pictures of animals but I approached this more as an exercise in colour intensity and - I enjoyed it!
