Lovely rocks - super colours in them. I like the contrast between the orange and the purples.

In 2012 I completed a series of watercolour paintings taken from photo's I took at Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, of the folly on the top of the hill known as 'Old John' and of the nearby war memorial. I wanted to use colour to emphasise the drama and rugged nature (about the only such spot in Leicestershire) of the park with its ancient rock outcrops, stunning views and wind swept moorland. And to attempt an approach of another favourite artist - Nigel Priddey RBSA.
