A charming image - tells the story very well indeed. I am like you - no formal art work since school, but then decided to take up watercolour painting 5 years ago. It is a steep learning curve (especially in your 60's!) but what a joy it has turned out to be. Keep going and if you produce lovely work like this then I think great things are in front of you.

Thanks again Thea!

I must have missed this one yesterday Paul......love the subject and your trees are great.

Starting from a point of never having done any form of art other than first year secondary school, I took-up painting about three and a half years ago and immediately became obsessed. I work mostly in watercolour, some oil and pastels. Most of what I've produced so far is from reference material and this image is no exception. But the photo used in this case was one taken by Kelv Holtom who's guidance in my work has been of immense help.
