Absolutely wonderful - you've painted all those surfaces in astonishingly good detail, your best todate I think.

Thank you very much Heather :-)

They're great!

Absolutely gorgeous work, Paul. The detail you have achieved in the owl’s plumage, and the post, is extraordinary.

Thank you Emma & Ann for your very kind words. :-)

This reminds me of where I used to work in converted old dairy buildings and used to see a Little Owl there perching on the roof! Such beautiful birds and you’ve done wonderfully well Paul to achieve such accurate detail without losing the character of the birds. Super!

Thank you very much Tessa, what a lovely place to have worked though, to be able to see these lovely birds around the area, amazing! :-)

Just wonderful, a big fan of birds and bird paintings and drawings. Great detail.

Thank you Louisa, yes I love painting birds.... well in fact any wildlife! :-)

Great work Paul, the eyes are always my favourite and I usually start with them. The painting seems to come to life for me then.

This is a cracking photo I was amazed to have permission to paint, with a blended wet in wet background, two detailed birds, a grainy wooden post and the rusty metal, it was a lovely challenge to paint in watercolour. Have a good weekend everyone, questions welcome. Paul :-)
