absolutely lovely Paul, I've been watching it progress on FB!

Thank you Christine, well you get to see it first! I will post it on FaceBook this evening and thanks for following me! :-)

This is as marvellous as all your work always is Paul so much detail in those feathers and feet and the branches the birds perch on with the excellent greenery on those branches

Just delighful Paul, you bring your subjects to life.

You're too apologetic about your paintings, and you have absolutely no need to be: these are fine illustrations that can stand alongside the best, eg Tunnicliffe, Rowland Green, Fitter et al. Any arts magazine should be proud to publish them.

Excellent little bird Paul.

Paul. Your bird paintings are absolutely beautiful. They would grace any publication, espcially those dedicated to birds and wildlife. I note that you have started using Facebook. I'm a bit of a cautious person sometimes and I hope that you have read the small print with regard to the rights Facebook may have over your material and images; anyone's for that matter .... I have had a look at your website and it's good. Perhaps you can do a blog on there or on POL although I find the blog section here a little bit confusing! But then that may just be my little brain!

Stunning work as always Paul, your birds are a delight to look at.

Beautiful painting Paul such vibrancy

Wow, so many comments and a big thank you to everyone including Ros, Jenny, Fiona, Robert, Michael, Carol, Gudrun, Val & Glennis. ----Robert--- thank you, I am working on trying to take some half decent photos but at the moment without success, but have other options to try out. :-) -----Gudrun---- I understand your concern and I will read the terms and conditions. I may have to place a copyright watermark on the finished paintings in future just to make sure.

Your bird paintings are truly amazing. I don't normally like very precise and representational paintings, but yours have converted me! Stunning work.

I decided to paint this one due to the change of pose. It's a little different to paint a bird that isn't showing it's tail feathers, well only just! :-) This is is the usual size of 225mm x 176mm on SAA watercolour paper, using acrylic white for the highlights. I am still trying to get decent photos of my paintings in stages from start to finish, but sadly they are not good enough to use for magazine pubication. Mind you that's if my work gets accepted! lol I have done this on my FaceBook page if you haven't seen it, but if you can 'Like' my page that will be brilliant! Go to: https://www.facebook.com/thedevonartistpaul Thanks everyone! Paul
