Not a subject I would have chosen and yet it really comes off - very spontanious and full of interest - as for a title I can't think of one but I am sure something will come to mind. Well done Paul

Well done Paul. I like the colours , the light and the whole atmosphere in this painting.

Thank you both for your comments. Much appreciated

Great pen and wash again and I like the dry brush in the foreground. Were you in Valetta?

Hi Heather, thanks for comment. Yes, was there last year. My first holiday since starting to paint, so I looked at the place from a painters point of view as well as being a tourist. There was something to photograph/paint at every turn. This view was from a boat trip round the harbours.

Quick pen & wash impression of a supply / support ship called Pacific Victory anchored in Valletta. Couldn't think of a decent title so suggestions welcome. Drawn to this image for two reasons. Firstly, the horizontal lines and streaks of opposing colour. Secondly, the small vessel alongside (and completely dwarfed by) the Pacific Victory, makes it look huge. But what you can't see is that the Pacific Victory was in turn dwarfed by a massive cruise ship at least four or five times the size. I liked the fact that Pacific Victory looked huge and tiny at the same time.
