I actually like the colours you've used. The expression is marvelous. Lovely.

I really like this interpretation, the colours are lovely. Have you used Khadi paper, the deckled edges add to the overall effect?

Splendid Giraffe portrait in watercolour Paul, love the inquisitive look on its face and pricked ears, great to see you using pmp site as well, no shortage of ideas on that site is there!

Thank you ladies. You're very kind. Christine...I've seen the word 'khadi' but not sure what it is, so after googling it I can tell you that 'No', its just a Langton mould made block. I could have cropped it to a clean edge but liked it as it is. Thanks again

Choice of colours is brilliant and makes a very vibrant, lively portrait. Light and shade just adds to it. Super.

Just love his face, beautiful.

Love this one, Paul! It is very well painted, has that touch of humour which always engages the viewer and has some lovely colours in it as well. Can't go wrong with that combination.

Thank you all once again. Glad you liked it. Paul

http://paintmyphoto.ning.com/photo/hungry-giraffe Saw Rodney Campbells photo on PMP and wanted to have a go. I strengthened the light to give it a bit more impact but ended up overworking it a bit because I didnt get the colours dark enough first time. Comments re improvements welcomed. 12"x9"
