Before the Madness Starts

Before the Madness Starts

I stayed in London now and then - you had to get up early to enjoy this sort of peace!

As a Londoner myself (although I left a good few years ago) I can recall those early morning scenes and this really brings back memories - super painting - thanks for posting it

You captured the morning light very well, Paul. Love the "contre-jour" in this!

Thank you for the comments. This is a different sort of painting for me. I've learned a lot from this painting.

Hang on Studio Wall

I worked in the Oxford Circus area of Central London for many years. The streets were busy all year round, but at Xmas the crowds caused madness on the streets. There was however, a quiet hour or so at the beginning of a winters day when you could venture out for a paper and a coffee in relative peace. London is a lovely place at that time of day.
