Hi Paul - I love the way your mind works, mines a bit like that one idea leading to another and then ending up with something totaly different to the first thought I had! Love the dog by the way!

I just look at your picture and it makes me smile from ear to ear. I then read your description and that too made me chuckle. :)

Debs / Sarah....Nothing like a pink dog to get the ladies vote eh! Glad you liked it and thanks for sending your comments.

'Flippin eck' Paul!!! You've lost me with the explanation......but I love your dog!

Hi Fiona. Not surprised I confused someone...I give myself brainache sometimes. Glad you liked the dog.

You have to see my next painting to make sense of this. The words 'Petra' and 'Jordan' were in my head and I was in the mood to paint something. In my previous painting I explained that I struggled to mix the subtle colours for painting Petra (I have a limited number of student quality paints and my mixes ended up a bit muddy). So, I tried to think of famous Petra's and came up with nothing. Famous Jordan's only produced an Americam basketball player and a 'model' I don't have a lot of time for. Then I remembered that Petra is a common name for a dog. The only orange dog I could think of was Scooby Doo (who turns out to be more brown than orange). Couldn't think of any pink or purple dogs. Then thought of painting a plain dog with the subtle colours of Petra. Then thought that a plain dog would be a bit boring, so I chose a dog with markings. Final decision was to ditch the idea of being subtle. There you go...all makes sense now!
