Something completely new for me, my favourite subject cricket - in colour. Inspired by seeing the work of Michele Poirier Mozzone who paints underwater abstract paintings I tried her method of doing an oil wash underpainting before working loosely with pastels focusing on colour and shape. I loved drawing it. it felt safe because I know the subject so well and I am comfortable with movement but was also able to bring in new methods of working.
