Lovely painting and super marks Paulette. You do seem to have caught character here. We have two donkeys in the riding school fields near us, and often hear them from the house! Lovely creatures.

I have taken so many photos of this donkey when out walking. He's in a field with some horses, the horses never seem to notice who walks by but Pete always looks up - interested, curious. He is also quite pretty for a donkey. I'm not sure why I called him Pete, the name popped into my head straight away and has stuck. This is probably the largest painting I've done 24" x 18" and indeed the first equine piece I've ever completed. Anyway I trusted my method and moved the paint around till I was happy. Oil on wood panel.
