Starting off my drawing week with a quick charcoal portrait. I always wanted to be a portrait artist but my success rates in portraits are about 1 in 20 and I have never been able to better that or work out why. The curious thing is that I don't have too much of a problem with faces on figure paintings where my success rate is more like 3 out of 4.
