Not a great name but I couldn't think of a better one. This is the first time I've sold a painting before the paint is dry but the lady who let me use her photo for the reference was so delighted she has bought the painting. She looked quite fierce in the photo so I have tried to soften her a bit but maintaining some of her attitude. I love her, she was such a success for me as my first bird painting. I love the intense detail that birds have but oils won't allow that amount of detail so it really was a battle between what to put into detail and what to give up to the brush.
