Very nice treatment of the water. Good composition - I think the whole painting hangs together really well. A sensitive piece of work.

Been here many times but the one time that sticks out in my memory was of the low flying jets screeching across the lake at a very low level disturbing the peace and tranquility of the place. Scarey! However this painting restores the tranquility, beautiful. I admire your treatment of the distant hills and the sky, very well done. A lovely gallery alltogether.

Thank you Thea and Val, your kind words are much appreciated.

I agree just lovely making me remember what I saw and looked at when we were back in 1992...up near Hadrians Wall there was a most beautiful lake with warnings that it may be bottomless and very cold so don't swim...I was intrigued by it but I wasn't painting at the time but nursing and didn't take a picture...we were trying to give our then 8 year old a history lesson don't know if it worked

Thank you Patsy, Wastwater is one of my favourite lakes and though not botomless is the deepest in England at just over 250 feet.

Paul I really like this one, and not quite the usual format that one often sees of this lake! The foreground treatment gives the painting great depth. You have some very nice work in your gallery! Best regards Chris

Many thanks Chris. It's quite an old one is this, about five years ago I think but one of my better ones from the time.
