Very Wesson in style - is he an influence? Love the understated, loose feel to this painting. Colours are interesting and vibrant without being garish. Just shows that you can take a simple subject and make it charming and attractive with the right colours and the right brush work.

Thanks Thea - you're correct to pick up on the Wesson influences. Nearly all my favourite landscape painters have that loose approach to their work.

Didn't see this at the time, glad I've found it now. Just the sort of watercolour I like most.
