I think this has worked our rather well. She is certainly settled. The use of cadmium orange is rather good too!

Very nice! I also find orange versatile ! It makes up many types of grey and is also nice as an accent colour too!

Oil on canvas 30x41 cm. I called this painting Sunday Morning as it reminded me of when I was working full time, bringing up children, cooking Sunday lunch, washing and ironing etc ready for the week ahead. I was often so tired that it was the only day I got a short lie in! (I didn't look as glamorous, however). The idea was based on a magazine picture, though I've changed the colours, composition etc to my style and palette. I've just got a tube of cadmium orange which I tried out in this painting - very versatile for many shades of green as well.
