I love the sea and the sand. Hopefully the weather will still be nice in the morning and I shall drive ten miles to walk the doggo on a local beach. I would very happily walk along this one Pat.

This was painted a few weeks ago - this is a small extract of a larger painting which I'll post later when I've cropped it! It's an oil on MDF and the scene is from the cliff top above Cayton Bay near Scarborough. The sea was really this blue, yet the beach was deserted as it was a Monday. You usually get board surfers down here at weekends when the sea is rougher. I enjoy painting on board primed with gesso - oil paints dry more quickly as they sink in a bit more than canvas.
