I've just finished this painting of a wonderful garden iin North Ferriby. The lady in the painting is the gardener and she opens the garden each year under the Open Gardens Scheme. It was hot day in the garden in June, many visitors and not the best heat to paint in front of the subject. There were so many lovely views it was difficult to know where to start. The painting is on canvas and is actually square 51cm x 51cm. so thte photo misses partt of the borders. (I must learn to crop photos!).
