New Course Work

Wow Patsy, this new course is working ! I see that you have settled well on this composition. Just shows you what a good teacher can do when they give you gentle tuition. I am so pleased with you being so happy.

glad the course is good. Like the drawing, I didn't realise leaves and flowers were so difficult to draw until I attempted one yesterday of apple blossom in the garden, the way those leaves fold and twist and the layers of petals are so complex. Looking forward to seeing more and what a great idea to post these - so helpful.

What a difference the enjoyment shines out.

I agree with above. Each line with the pen is good, looks very natural.

I think this is the best work you have done. It is magical. The pen is just lovely and the delicate colours are quite delicious. Just frame this one and enjoy.

I liked your jug and I like this too. I love how you can produce two completely different works. It looks like the course will be a very rewarding time for you....and we get to see the fruits of your labour! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Nice one Patsy...like what I see...I came across the 'Australian palette' only last night at the art society...you have it...

This is not your usual style.....but we like it immensely.......can't wait to see the finished work....so much better than the other one....very well done.

Well done Patsy. It was a wise switch of course. Nicely drawn and full of possibilities.

Happy picture.

Hello Patsy K It was a surprise to think that you are not able to paint outside in Australia. We think that our UK weather is rubbish but i suppose we dont tend to get extremes as you might. Having said that the rain we have had in the last couple of years has made us all hungry for some sun. It has been a lovely weekend of weather. I havent managed to get out yet to do more sketching but i am hoping to do some next week if the weather holds. I was intrigued to read Aquas comments on the forum.. What happened ? She seems to have been very put off ? I havent used the forum yet as i am not really sure how it works. The jargon "strings" etc puts me off and i prefer to muddle along with blogs etc. I can see that you have used it though and wondered what the draw back could be. If it is confidential please dont reply I wouldnt like to upset Aqua or anyone with confidences that they didnt want passed on.

Enjoyed looking at your drawing; I agree, pen and nib, line and wash is exhilirating, best wishes!

Nice one Patsy. You are a natural for silk painting!

I like this work very much, Patsy. What course are you doing?

Well done, a very good picture
